rProtein A/G Beads 4FF function similarly to both rProtein A and rProtein G. rProtein A is used as an affinity ligand and a highly cross-linked 4% agarose gel is used as a substrate to purify monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies at relatively high flow rates. Protein G is a cell wall protein isolated from G Streptococci that binds to mammalian IgG via its Fc fragment. Recombinant protein G contains a high affinity binding site, which reduces non-specific adsorption. Protein G and Protein A have the same lgG binding properties, compared with Protein A, Protein G has a stronger binding force for polyclonal antibodies such as cattle, sheep, and horses, and it can also bind rat lgG, human lgG3 and mouse lgG1 well.
