The basic principle of in vivo staining experiments of vacuole system in cells is that the vesicles enclosed by a single layer membrane in animal cells belong to the vacuole system, including the Golgi complex, lysosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, transport vesicles, phagocytic vesicles, etc. neutrol red is a specific in-vivo stain for the vacuole system that only dyes the vacuole system red while the cell is alive, leaving the cytoplasm and nucleus unstained.
The dye solution is formulated in a pH neutral isotonic buffer and can be used for vacuolar staining of living cells or tissues. This product is filtered to remove bacteria and can be used directly for staining cultured cells.
