中速滤纸孔径约为15-20μm，以精制木浆和棉浆为原料，裁剪整齐无杂质。滤纸一般可分为定性滤纸和定量滤纸两种。定性滤纸主要用于粗略地分离和筛选固体杂质，例如颗粒、沉淀和胶体等，容忍一定的误差，不能用于质量分析，只适用于作定性分析。
